Israel is a land that holds meaning to many diverse people. Historically important to the religious traditions of Jews, Christians and Muslims, the history of the region dates back to 15th century BCE and has been occupied by Caanites, Jewish tribes, Romans, Byzantines, Crusaders, Ottoman Turks, Palestinians and more recently Jews from around the world. It has been and still is at the crossroads of many different civilizations and cultures, a mixture that often works but at times explodes into tension and conflict.
Our itinerary in Israel will focus on the old city of Jerusalem with its significant historical Jewish, Christian and Muslim sites, Bethlehem, the Dead Sea and the Roman fort at Massada with its tragic history.
